New Jersey: Highest Property Taxes in the Nation

According to Washington, D.C. based Tax Foundation, New Jersey has the highest property taxes in the Nation. http://taxfoundation.org/news/show/26742.html

New Jersey property owner's have two ways to reduce property taxes, move out of the State or file a tax appeal.

Tax Appeal Deadlines
Added assessment appeals must be filed by December 1, 2010.

The Annual deadline to file a regular appeal is either:
May 1, 2011 for property located in a town having a revaluation or reassessment or
April 1, 2011 for all other property.
